Today's the first day of school. Guess it can still be considered to be ok. Haha.. Like all good students, I reported to school early today despite choosing to go there by foot instead of tram in the cold early morning. Being early by 30minutes, I had to wait for 2.5hours before my class starts as I did not know it was postponed to 10am. Well, luckily some kind soul told those who were in the Lecture Hall and I decided that this was a good opportunity for me to go around school to take photos for you guys. So sit back and enjoy!
The entrance to my department building: Technology Management and Economics.

Path leading to the entrance of my department building. The building at the far end is the Microtechnology Centre. And the 2 buildings in the foreground belongs to the Department of Environmental Sciences.

This is the other side of the Department of Technology Management and Economics building. This side faces the main road, so if I'm taking tram to school, I'd take to this road which brings me straight to my school.

Yup, and so this is the main road along the school building.

And this is the tram! Haha.. Since we don't have trams back at home, I decided to take a photo of it. This tram is the old model one. Haha.. Over here, we have 3 types of trams: the new, the old and the older. The new trams are fully automatic, as in the doors will open by themselves when the tram stops at each station and they don't have steps at the doors. The old and older ones both have steps at the doors, but the older ones have no automatic doors. When we want to board or alight, we have to push the doors open ourselves. For the old versions, we press a button outside e tram to open the door to get in.

Ok! Now on to the interior of my department building. This is what you see when you first enter the building from the main entrance.

Oh, guess what this is! Haha.. It looked like some kind of water tank or container to me. But I found out that this is actually a Lecture Hall. I realised that their Lecture Halls are rather small. The one I had my lecture in today can only accommodate about 100 students I think.

And this is a cosy little corner behind that Lecture Hall. There are plenty of couches and cosy corners like this all over the building. Well, in NUS we have our study benches. Haha..

Last but not least, the physics lab. Cool eh? It's like a showcase of physics experiments at the end of the building behind a panel of glass walls.

That's all! Haha.. If you realised, I merely took photos just around my school. Well, I failed to venture to the other parts of the University as it was just too cold for me to handle. My poor fingers were on the verge of freezing while I was trying to force it to click that button on the camera. Haha.. I'm not sure what the temperature today is, but the forecasted temperature we checked last night was -6 to -8 degrees celsius. Not sure if it's true, but it was really cold as I could even see 'smoke' coming out of my nostrils. Haha..
Anyway, workload is really quite heavy over here. It's only my first lesson and I have to do so much reading. And the worst thing is, I can't understand a thing. Haha.. The lecturer kept going, "I've explained before..", "As I've mentioned in ______ course..", etc. without explaining some key terms and concepts in detail so I can't really catch the ball. Hope the materials will be more self-explanatory.
That's it for today. Don't know when will be my next post since school has started and I'm a rather lazy person. Haha..
