PC came to visit us this weekend! This is PC at the Central Station on the 2nd day of her trip here. There were no photos on the first day due to time constraints as she had to rush over to the apartment with R, L and YZ to have their dinner then R and YZ had to leave for an evening flight to Manchester. Oh, we had Thai Green Curry that night but we did not take any photos of it. Haha..


Yup, so L and I brought PC around on Saturday and of course, we had to start off from our place. So this is how our tram stop looks like, along Medicinaregatan.


And this is my apartment block.


Boasting the biggest shopping street and shopping centre in Scandinavia, we brought PC to the city centre. We alighted before Avenyn so we can walk along the streets and walk around the shops. And here are some beautiful architecture for you! Just some la.. Haha.. All the buildings look just as nice so I also don't know what to take. But these photos are not taken by me anyway! Hehe..


Well, there are also plenty of statues like these along the way so PC stopped to take a photo of some of them. However, we do not know what these statues are supposed to mean or represent as we can't understand any writings on them. They don't even look Swedish to me.


And there's an open air ice skating rink! Albeit a small one, but how can you ever witness an open air ice skating rink in Singapore? Haha.. Just trying to be lame.. Hurr.. Anyway, while we were walking, we also saw a bicycle on the canal. Yes, on top of the frozen surface of the canal waters. Poor bike.. And I guess the owner didn't dare to go down to retrieve it despite the ice being able to survive the hard smack of the bike from the pavement above.


So after walking and shopping, we got hungry and decided to settle down at the restaurant which I went to when I first arrived, for lunch. L and I ordered the same flank steaks while PC ordered the house steak. We were so glad to be like 3min early cos when we were placing our orders, we realised a sudden in flux of customers and there was a long queue outside. Aren't we lucky?


This is the 84SEK (S$18.80) house steak PC ordered. Mine looks exactly the same, just that it is slightly thinner (weight difference of 40g) and tastes just a little less tender than hers.


Okay, so after lunch, we continued with our shopping. We were going from shop to shop and poor L had to follow us around. We were also trying to look for guys' clothes for him but I think the guys here seldom buy clothes so there aren't many shops available for him. Poor thing. He only managed to get a cap after a whole day of shopping. I bought a pair of grey coloured pants which is actually made of cotton but looks like velvet kind. It was on sale so I only paid 79:50SEK (S$17.80) for it. Cheap right? I don't think we can get pants this cheap back at home. (Sorry no photo cos I lazy to take.. Muahahaha..)

Soon, the sun has set and the stores were all closing (at 5pm) so we proceeded to the Central Station to get PC's last minute train tickets back to Lund for the next day. And she forced me to carry all her shopping bags and pose for a pic, so don't think that I bought so many things ah.. Haha..


After getting her tics, we headed home to prepare dinner! Haha.. We did not cook everything la. the main dish - pork ribs were bought from Hemköp, PC's treat! So we just have to bring it back, oven-bake it, cook the cream of mushroom soup (instant mix), slice the bread and peel the lettuce. And dinner is served... Haha...


No more photos! All these photos were taken by PC on her camera on Saturday only. We went to the port on Sunday but there was nothing much due to the construction and that most shops are closed on Sundays. To much disappointment, the Fish Church was also closed and it soon began to drizzle. After that, we wanted to go to Pizza Hut for their lunch buffet only to realise that it is only valid on weekdays! Sigh.. So we settled for BK instead. I had a Sweet Chilli Chicken Meal which costs 47SEK($10.50) after the student discount of 10SEK (S$2.30). But my savings soon went back to move the economy as I had to go to the loo twice. OH!! I forgot to mention! The public toilets here costs 5SEK (S$1.15) per entry! Haha.. Now, be glad you only pay S$0.10 at most to use the toilets in Singapore.

We also went to the Opera House to look-see a bit and hopefully find free toilets but to no avail. They are showing CATS from now till end of February but in Swedish only. PC say maybe we can plan a trip to London to watch The Phantom of the Opera. Would love to do so, but it's gonna be really expensive. As of everything in London. But I guess I might just go, after all, I don't know if I ever have a chance to come back again.

So, after a bit more of shopping, PC had to head back to Lund, but we'll see her again coming Thursday as we have already planned a trip to Oslo together! Just a short trip though, from Feb 1 to Feb 4 so we'll be back for class on Monday. Following weekend I might be going to visit PC in Lund from Feb 9 to Feb 14, but I have no plans for CNY weekend yet. I had initially planned to go Lund that weekend but I only have 2 days there as I have an exam on the 16th and a lab test on the 21st (pre-test briefing on 20th). Still not sure if I should go find PC or spend CNY alone while L and R go up north to Ice Hotel and dog sledding. How?? What should I do?
