1 Feb - 4 Feb (Flåm, Norway)
Thanks to my dear J, my photoshop is up and running again! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Hehe.. As promised, here are the photos taken during my Norway trip. There're too many photos so I'll just split them up into 3 posts. Enjoy!
This is the exit from the bus terminal when we first arrived. If you were wondering, we travelled to Norway by bus. Haha.. It's quite a short ride actually, only about 3 hours and 40 minutes, but we took slightly longer than that as the toilet in the bus was spoilt and we had to stop a twice for toilet breaks. From my place to Oslo is nearer than to Stockholm.
And this is what we saw when we got out of the terminal. We reached at about 10pm so it was already dark outside. From the bus terminal, we walked for a short while to the train station to catch a train to Myrdal. There, we bought some food from Rimi's, Norway's version of NTUC and managed to grab a pack of ginger biscuits for 1kr (S$0.25)!!! We wanted to buy a few packs home but we returned on Sunday only to find out that it is closed. Sigh..
Anyway, we boarded the train to Myrdal and reach Myrdal station at 4am in the morning. Haha.. And our next train to Flåm was at 9.55am!
So this is how the Myrdal station looks like. LOOKS. It was freezing cold there as we were at the top part (not the highest point though) of the mountain. We were just super duper glad that there was actually a station there and not just a miserable platform for us to freeze to death in the wee hours of the morning.

Yup, so the train arrived and we were the first to board. It is a touristy train so the interior looks nice (price also very nice: 260kr (S$65) per student) and we had one carriage all to ourselves! Haha..

This is where the magnificent waterfall is supposed to be. BUT WHERE IS IT??!!??!! Haha.. it was supposed to exist in summer. Yeah, so it is frozen now. Haha..

So there's plenty of snow and landscapes along the way. Flåmsbana (name of the train) travels from the top part of the mountain all the way down to the valley where Flåm is. It's train route is famous for its scenery. Come, let me take you on Flåmsbana!
There was nothing much for us to do as we reached there too early. Most of the shops only opened from 1pm to 3pm. Haha.. Good life right? So, we just took a walk around and took more photos.

Ok, that's all for the Flåm trip. See you next time in Bergen! Haha.. lame...
