7/4/07 - 9/4/07 : Brussels, Belgium
Oh, I forgot to mention that I met MQ, Y and D when I was in Amsterdam. We took a photo together but with Y's camera so I can only upload when I have gotten it from her. Anyway, now on to Brussels! To my disappointment, it's nothing chocolatey as the chocolate stuff are in Bruges. Hope I can make a trip there some time.
Welcome to Brussels Central Station! Poor TY and R had a hard time looking for the Tourist Information Centre to get a map and directions to our hostel located far far away. Haha.. But it was a good youth hostel nonetheless.

What is Brussels without waffles? What am I without ice cream? Haha.. Having settled our accomodation, we walked around the Grand Place and settled for Australian home made ice cream with waffles. It was dearly delicious.

Well, there ARE chocolates in Brussels just that they are not cheap loh. Anyway, this is a staff of Godiva who was preparing the chocolate coated strawberries for sale. Somehow, everyone was taking photos of her, so being kiasu Singaporeans, we also take la. Dunno for what also.

More food!! Escargots for 3 EUR (S$6.15). Cheapskate kind la, but not bad I think. L didn't like it though, so I got to eat most of it! Hurhur...

L's favourite shop in Brussels. Haha.. He even wanted to buy the limited edition Tintin Swatch "watch". It's an enlarged watch which is supposed to be used as a clock. But he decided against it as it was difficult to bring it home.

The Manneken Pis Statue. If you haven't noticed, in the photo with R, the statue is actually dressed in a diving suit while in my photo, it was naked. (Click on photo to enlarge)

Okay, in R's words, Brussels has Grand Place, Grand Place and Grand Place. Haha..

Nice architecture all around the Grand Place which R loved so much. Haha.. Actually Brussels also got other things la. We went to see the Atomium and visited Mini Europe as well.

Cliche photos, cliche actions.

In the trying to be funny and artistic mood.

Bye, in... many languages.

Last but not least, the comic strip museum.

This mickey mouse just reminded me of one of my cousins. Haha..

The process:
1. Discussion - Characters, storyline, etc.

2. Drawing

3. Colouring

4. Copying and animating

5. Backdrop creation

6. Voice over

7. Piecing together

8. Editing

That's all we did in Brussels. Oh, I tried their local beer too. Kinda expensive as I got it from a pub but it was recommended in the guide book so I decided to give it a shot anyway. Not my kind of beer. P says that it tastes like stout. I dunno cos I've never tried stout before. I still prefer Heineken or Hoegaarden. Haha.. Too bad I didn't get to go to the Hoegaarden brewery as it is located in another part of Belgium.

Okay, so we left Brussels for Krakow, a land of bad experiences for us. I was detained at the Brussels International Airport while leaving just because my passport was too new. I guess I can't really blame them also lah. What to do when you have 5 Singaporeans with 3 different kinds of passports...
