Company visit to Ericsson at Borås!
Thanks to my Total Quality Management (TQM) module, I was able to visit the Ericsson building here in Sweden. This branch of Ericsson was supposed to be one of the best factories as they applied one quality management concept known as 6-sigma. Haha.. As if you care right? So we boarded this double-decked bus and had a 1 hour ride to Borås.

When we arrived at the building, we had to show our passports or some kind of photo ID to obtain this visitor pass. The security is rather strict here as no photos are allowed to be taken and we have to switch our phones off the whole time we are in the building. No allowance given to Sony Ericsson phones as well. Hahah..

Yup, so we had a short 40min 6-sigma talk and then free food and drinks, followed by a 15min guided tour of the building. While we were touring the building, we had to strap something from our feet to the bottom of our shoes so that the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) emitted from our bodies will flow directly to the ground and not affect any of their products there. Oh, the welfare here is really good! Every corner we turn to, there will be a pantry with free coffee, tea and sandwiches. And they don't have a lot of employees as most production operations are automatic. So I think it's like maybe 3 people to 1 pantry. So nice hor?
After the guided tour, we boarded the same bus back. This is how the building looks like from outside!

That's it for today! Happy Birthday to my dear brother! Hope you're having fun at Motorola! Haha..
