It's my life

I want to spread my wings and fly.. Glide above the oceans.. View the world from above and laugh at all the stupidity beneath me.. I just wish.. Sometimes... When I have the time...

16 Feb - 19 Feb (Lund, Sweden)

Almost immediately after I came back from Stockholm, I headed for Lund to spend Chinese New Year with PC and friends as I decided that I did not want to be alone on this auspicious day. It was tiring, but worth it. When I arrived in Lund on Friday, it was already 21:37 and we went straight to PC's apartment to make myself some dinner. (I had rushed to catch the train immediately after my test) The dinner was overwhelming. Haha.. In other words, I was full to the brim as I had a packet of Chu Qian Yi Ding Noodles with veggie, one Cha Ye Dan, 4 chicken wings and a slice of mudpie. Totally...

After that, we went to bed and PC brought me around the next day.
Streets of Lund. Different from the other parts of Sweden? Well, this is not really a street. It is actually a road but there are so few cars around that most lanes can only fit one car. So, in my opinion, it is a street. Haha..

Here's the open-air market in the town area of Lund. There are some good buys for groceries here as the food is much fresher and cheaper than those in the supermarket.

We also went to this cathedral while I was there. This is a picture of the model inside the Cathedral. I think it's a rather magnificent architecture. The model even had it's interior modelled!

Yup, so this is the actual interior of the cathedral. It's rather huge inside, but I think it just looks like a normal cathedral. I am more fascinated by the model, obviously. Haha..

Steamboat reunion dinner! Just look at the spread. Haha.. I paid about 105SEK (S$23.33) in all to have this meal which I was gorged once again. We had lots of veggie, sesame chicken, pork, fish, abalone mushrooms, golden mushrooms, fried rice, white rice, vietnamese spring rolls, yu sheng, raspberry pie, multi-layered agar agar and a sinfully sinful Swedish dessert. I need to get hold of that recipe. Haha.. It's really nice but really really fattening and sweet kind. But should be okay to eat once in a while la. Haha.. There were about 9 people at the dinner, plus a few more who lived along the corridor and popped by once in a while to taste a little here and there. Not much CNY atmostphere, but there was a lot of fun as we had people of different nationalities at the table: Singaporeans, Swedes, Italian, Vietnamese, etc.

The next day, we had another sumptuous dinner again. Haha.. Come to Lund just eat and eat and eat more. No wonder become fatty bom bom already. Haha.. PC's apartment is shared with 5 other people and they have arranged to have dinner together every Sunday which they will each rotate to make. This week's menu is Chinese food and so PC and Liu (one of the flatmates from China), were in charge. Liu is a very good chef! He made Gong Bao Ji Ding, Mu Er with veggies, Cod fish in sweet sauce, while PC made fried rice and curry vegetables for dinner. All the food were very very nice. And a lot. Haha.. We couldn't finish it so we had some leftover which I ate for lunch the next day before I left for Göteborg.

And we have fondue for dessert! Haha.. Despite the very filling dinner which we could not finish, the fondue was wiped out. Haha.. I guess it is an international dessert then. PC's flatmates are from Germany, Portugal, Czech. Republic, China and France, and they all loved the chocolate fondue. Sweeeeet... Oh, and we just bought the fondue-maker thing from Netto in the day before the dinner. Haha.. Only 99SEK (S$22)!!

And so, I left Lund the next day. No more swings for me... I like swings and PC has a playground near her apartment. So nice.. Can sit there and swing after class and stone before going home. I like.. hurhur..
