Okay, so for the month of May, I'm a good little girl staying in good ol' Gothenburg and trying to prepare for my exams. Haha.. But that doesn't mean that I cannot have fun too!
It was R's birthday when we went for the Highlands trip. So there wasn't a birthday cake for the poor boy. Being a nice flatmate, I went to get a cheapo Almond cake from the supermarket for him when we returned. However, R was shy and he cut up the cake before we could sing him a birthday song!
Although cheapo, I think the cake is really nice. Haha.. I ate quite a lot of it! Happy belated 24 to R!!
There's this After Work thing here in which most pubs will provide free buffet dinner on Fridays if you purchase a drink from them. So, we arranged a gathering with R, SN, V and V for After Work at Respekt.
Liseberg! As mentioned previously, this is the big big amusement park in Gothenburg. I did not take any rides that day as R and L had already been on the rides before and there was no one to accompany me! Sobz.. Anyway, we walked around and tried our luck with some of the fun stalls there. Unfortunately, we failed to win the HUGE Toblerone but at least, we brought back a few soft toys. Haha.. (Notice the skies. We reached Liseberg at 8.30pm and left at 10.30pm)
I made an evening trip to Frölunda alone on Sunday as I wanted to tour Gothenburg a little more before my tram pass expires. However, as it was a Sunday evening, all the shops were already closed by the time I arrived and there was nothing much for me to do. So I took the tram to the central, in hope of catching a beautiful sunset!
Walked to the harbour end but I did not get to see the sun setting into the sea. I was blocked by the land mass on the opposite end. Sadz.. It was still beautiful, nonetheless!
Nice reflection along the canal. Just like a mirror...
Haha.. Ok, this is malu-ating. Haha.. We went to Fysiken to play basketball last night. It is not free, but we borrowed V and V's cards to enter so we didn't pay. Haha.. And from this exercise, we finally realised the true extent of our unfit-ness! Aching arms and legs and bodies are understatements.
Hopefully we'll get to exercise again before we leave. I don't think I'd ever kill myself by exercising in track suits in Singapore, so I have to experience it here! Haha..
